Our NHS services are under significant pressure...
Innovation Showcase Event
A major event is being held in St Ives on 21 June to celebrate local innovations in health and care. The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Innovation Showcase, organised by the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Adopting Innovation Hub, is open to everyone in the area. The organisers are encouraging people from all walks of life to come together to celebrate and learn from the innovations that are improving local health and care services.
Taking place at Burgess Hall in St Ives, this free event will feature a diverse group of speakers from the NHS and industry, with a keynote speech by renowned Health Foundation director Malte Gerhold. Throughout the day there will be a focus on how innovation can help reduce health inequalities in a wide range of conditions, including cardiovascular disease and mental health conditions.
The showcase will be an opportunity to learn from innovative ideas across the area and beyond – enabling local health and care organisations to deliver better services for communities in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. There will also be lots of useful information on offer for people who aren’t part of the health and care system, including on patient and citizen participation and ways in which everyone can contribute to the improvement of health and care services.
Dr Patrick Williamson, Hub Lead, said:
“We’re thrilled to organise our first annual showcase event this summer. This will be a fantastic day to celebrate innovation and learn from each other, sharing pioneering projects and ideas that could make a huge positive difference for local communities.
“The communities we care for are at the heart of all of our health and care services, so we want to invite local people across Cambridgeshire & Peterborough to book their ticket now to come along to this brilliant, free event.”
Tickets can be booked free of charge via EventBrite.
