Chief officers and NEMs

The names of the people who will be leading forward a new partnership approach to improving the health and wellbeing of local people across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough have been revealed today.

Our Non-Executive Members and Chief Officer Designates for the new NHS Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Integrated Care Board (ICB), part of Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Integrated Care System (ICS), will take on their new roles from 1 July this year to oversee the commissioning, performance, financial management and transformation of the local NHS.

Our Non-Executive Designate Members will work alongside our Chief Executive and the wider team to provide oversight, scrutiny, governance and leadership to NHS Cambridgeshire & Peterborough in the pursuit of our core aims of addressing health inequalities, creating new opportunities to access support, shaping services across the area and delivering world-class services to our communities.

Non-Executive Member Designates:
Saqhib Ali: Chair-Designate of the Audit and Risk Committee
Dr Sarah Hughes: Chair-Designate of People Board and Remuneration Committee
Ged Curran: Chair-Designate of Improvement and Reform Committee and Commissioning and Investment Committee

Dorothy Gregson: Chair-Designate of Quality, Performance and Finance Committee

Chair Designate of the new NHS Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Integrated Care Board (ICB), John O’Brien, said: “Each of our new members bring important individual skills and experience to the Board, with their diverse backgrounds covering a range of organisations and sectors.

“Our Non-Executive Members will have significant committee responsibilities and will, as part of the wider Board, collectively hold the executive director team to account for its planning, delivery and performance.

“As a Board we will look to engage with local people and promote transparent decision-making on behalf of our communities.”

Commenting on these appointments, Chief Executive Officer Designate of NHS Cambridgeshire & Peterborough, Jan Thomas, said: “I am pleased to announce the successful recruitment of these key members of our team and Board who will be working together to improve the health and wellbeing of local people throughout their lives.

“Each person brings a diverse set of skills and experiences that will allow us to tackle health inequalities and give people more control over their own health and wellbeing, whilst we improve and deliver world-class services that are powered by research and innovation.”
