Open letter to thank staff
Dear colleagues,
I wanted to write to you to offer you my sincere thanks for all of your hard work both preparing for and during last week’s Junior Doctor strikes.
Once again many people went above and beyond the great work that they usually do - covering shifts at short notice, helping to rebook some of the many appointments that needed to be rescheduled , working in new areas and more besides. I know that this period of industrial action will have been particularly difficult as it came straight off the back of the Easter weekend, and I want you to know that all the hard work has not gone unnoticed.
We know that it will take time for the health system to recover after last week’s action, and also that further industrial action is planned.
As part of our recovery, it’s important we all take some time to rest and recharge. Please remember you can also access the Staff Support Hub for help with your wellbeing.
Thank you all again for your continued, tireless work to look after local people and communities.
