Text Sent to Immunosuppressed

General ICS image

Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Integrated Care System has today (date) sent a text message to over 6,000 people in the area who are immunosuppressed, encouraging them to have their COVID-19 autumn booster because they are eligible for one. You, or a person who has your mobile phone number registered to their GP account (e.g. someone you could be a carer and primary contact for), has been identified as being immunosuppressed. You can find out more about who might fall into this category by reading about it on the Government's website.

The text says:

Did you know people age 5+ in the household of an immunosuppressed individual are also eligible for a COVID-19 booster vaccination? Booster vaccination info - https://www.nhs.uk NHS Cambridgeshire & Peterborough

We know respiratory diseases including COVID-19 spread quickly during the colder months, which may mean people who are most vulnerable within our community become seriously ill. That’s why we continue to recommend that everybody who’s eligible to receive an autumn booster, does so immediately. They are invited to walk into any of our centres or pop-up clinics for their booster, bringing with them a letter to confirm their status from an NHS professional.

Please note: The text issued does not request personal details, nor asks for a payment for the COVID-19 autumn booster. If you receive any messages like this they are likely to be spam.
