Let's Talk: Royston

People who live in and around Royston are being invited to share their views on the future of local healthcare services.

Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Integrated Care System (ICS), the partnership working to improve the health and wellbeing of communities in Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and Royston, has launched Let’s Talk: Royston to hear from  local communities about the health and wellbeing services that matter to them.

People can have their say by filling out a short online survey, as well as by taking part in face-to-face opportunities to share feedback. The first phase of Let’s Talk: Royston will run for six weeks up to 11 August, and will focus on people’s experience of accessing services; their views on available services; and other health and wellbeing issues that matter to them.

The insights gathered from the first stage of Let’s Talk: Royston will inform work that local health and care organisations are collaborating on to review health and wellbeing services in the area.

Kit Connick, Chief Officer Strategy & Partnerships at NHS Cambridgeshire & Peterborough, part of Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Integrated Care System, said:

“Our communities are at the heart of everything we do as an ICS. We know we can make better plans and decisions if we listen to and speak with local people, so we’re asking everyone in and around Royston to have their say about health and wellbeing services through Let’s Talk: Royston.

“We want to understand what matters to you. So if you live in Royston or the surrounding villages, please take the time to have your say and help us shape the future of healthcare in the area.”

Geoff Brown, Chief Executive at Healthwatch Hertfordshire added:

“We welcome this great initiative for the people of Royston to share their views and experiences of local healthcare services. As a town situated on the boundary of Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire, it can be difficult for patients to know where they should go to provide feedback about services, so this will help the patient voice be heard.”
