Half Term Vaccinators on Tour
Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Integrated Care System (ICS) is running a week of walk-in clinics throughout the February half term, to help families get their COVID-19 and flu vaccinations.
From Huntingdon and Wisbech to Peterborough and Cambridge, plus many stops in-between, the Vaccinators on Tour will be moving around the area during half term.
In collaboration with Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust, Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust, and MI Pharmacy, The Vaccinators on Tour will kick off a series of events across eight days. Starting on Saturday 11 February at the Coneygear Centre in Huntingdon, they’ll be offering to those who are eligible, COVID-19 vaccinations, and adult flu jabs.
The week-long event comes to an end on Sunday 19 February, at MI Pharmacy Werrington in Peterborough, where COVID-19 and flu vaccinations will be available.
Dr Fiona Head, Chief Medical Officer at Cambridgeshire & Peterborough ICS, said: “We’re running these Vaccinator on Tour walk-in clinics during half term to help as many families as we can receive COVID-19 vaccinations, and if eligible, their flu jabs.
“Getting vaccinated is the safest and best way to protect you, your family, and the community from what can be severe illnesses. So, we’re continuing to encourage everybody to receive their doses as soon as they can.”
There’s no need to book an appointment at any of the Vaccinators on Tour sessions for a COVID-19 or flu vaccination because they are all walk-in clinics; just turn up.
